i hate sweet tea, in fact i despise it..i do like unsweetened tea, esp this tart and refreshing green tea with antioxidants
let's start out with my version of Aunt Suzy's meatballs:
i start out by mixing up some spices and secret ingredients...much like those found in previously posted hamburgers hint hint
add some bread crumbs...i was so happy to find
because they don't have any added fats, so when I am eating ornish style they work perfectly!
make them into nice even sized balls
let them chill to firm up before baking them at 450 for 20 minutes or so...
in the meantime, melt some butter
add some flour:
stir into butter...
a silicone whisk works perfectly
congrats you just made a rue - if you can do this, you can make crawfish ettouffee. but we are going to add black pepper, ground mustard and some smoked paprika...we are making mac n cheese please.
i didn't take a picture, but all you do now is add a little milk and lots of shredded cheese of your choosing, and then stir in pasta....my favorite is cavatappi - wonderful mouth feel and holds onto various thickness' of sauce...but i had none on hand so bowties it was.
after the noodles are nicely coated...pour 1/3 into a deep glass baking dish, followed by more cheese
followed by steamed green peas (not canned - yuck)
followed by more pasta and cheese and peas and pasta
then mix butter and bread crumbs like you were making a pie crust...and sprinkle on top of the pasta
oooh yeah, that's the stuff.
turn your oven down to 375, take your meatballs out, and put your pasta in...around 25 minutes, just to melt and get toasty and gooey.
get your meatballs ready for their yummy sauce
it's like this, see?

i added our hot sauce of choice
and then add the meatballs
as for gross meatball pan? well that's why i use aluminum foil...
now make a salad. how about spinach, dried cherries, macadamia nuts, crumbled goat cheese and a vinegarette? make a big salad...
or a little salad, depending on how you look at it.
****DING***** mac and cheese is done...
there are just no words...
now plate it up and enjoy!
